      Charmienne Ganao
      Vice President, Finance

As the senior financial counselor for her company, Charmienne’ s strategic focus and innovative thinking make her essential to Capital’s rapidly growing business. She serves as a financial sounding board to an entrepreneurial sales department, a procedural double check to an aggressive operations team, and an esteemed leader and mentor to a tightknit finance group.

Charmienne’s leadership is rooted in strong values that guide her decisions and behavior. Unafraid to disrupt the status quo, she advocates for diversity and inclusion of thought across a predominately white, male industry, garnering great appreciation from her peers.

Charmienne serves on the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Action) Council, a body whose mission is to ensure that Sonepar USA’s DEI strategy is fully interwoven with its business strategy. She is also the Executive Sponsor to Capital’s first Women’s ERG. In 2021, she was instrumental in a fundraiser for Girl’s on the Run, a program that promotes girl empowerment by raising $9,269.

      Chelsea Kephart
      District Manager

New year, new career. After 10 years with supermarket chain Aldi, Chelsea was introduced to the Irby family during a visit to her Alma Mater, The University of Tennessee. Invigorated to take on a new industry, Chelsea is excited to return to her birthplace of Tulsa, Oklahoma, as Regional Sales Manager for Irby Electric. During her tenure with Aldi, Chelsea wore every hat from overseeing operations to leading real estate projects. She learned the business, as she states, “literally from the dirt up.” These experiences equipped her with acute attention to detail and a passion for people.

Since joining the Irby family, Chelsea immediately got to work learning the electrical distribution business and is thankful for the enormous support she has received along the way. As a leader, Chelsea is process-oriented. She trusts that discipline and what she calls “stick-to-it-ness” are what turn aspirations into reality. She empowers her team by challenging them to seek ways to improve processes and find more productive ways to achieve their goals. “We are all a part of the Sonepar team. It is important to create a sense of trust through rapport, credibility and integrity.”

Chelsea acknowledges the significance of being digitally savvy in sales and sees it as an opportunity to exceed our customer’s expectations. “Great salespeople are open to embracing new opportunities. Technology has created an opportunity for advancement in an age where consumer and business expectations continue to evolve past traditional ways at a rapid pace.”

Chelsea’s thoughts on what makes an effective sales associate? “Trustworthiness, respect, and grit.”

      Brittany Mauss
      Branch Manager

Brittany Mauss describes “growing up in the company,” as she talks about her journey with Codale.

Starting off in accounts receivable in 2009, Brittany was quickly recognized for her process improvement mentality. Throughout the next several years, she was offered roles in credit management, lighting, pricing, and eventually District Operations Controller before accepting the Branch Manager position in Midvale, Utah.

When asked how she positioned herself for these opportunities, Brittany says, “I put my head down and worked really hard. And I always raised my hand for new opportunities. When new roles came up, my Codale managers already knew I wanted to learn and grow.”

Brittany says her father, who’s been in the electrical industry for over two decades, asked if she realized that she had just become one of the first female Branch Managers for Codale. Brittany is thrilled by the progress that’s been made and excited to see how many opportunities are available now to women in the industry.

Her tips for advancing in the company? Don’t be afraid to question “why?” If you think of a process or idea that would work better, speak up. You can always find ways to improve our organization, whether you’re in accounting, the warehouse, sales, or any other area. Your ideas help us be better!
